Prenatal massages are safe when performed by a trained professional (e.g. Registered Massage Therapist experienced in prenatal massages who will help position you safely)


The benefits of a prenatal massage include:

  • Decreased cortisol (stress hormone) levels and increased serotonin (mood stabilizing hormone). This helps decrease anxiety and lowers the risk or side effects of depression and other mood disorders

  • Reduces many discomforts of pregnancy including sciatic pain, muscle discomfort, back pain, joint pain, swelling

  • Can lead to longer and more restful sleep

  • Improves circulation and oxygenation of soft tissues and muscles
