What to do if your due date has passed

Make sure you, your baby, and placenta remains healthy. Attend any extra ultrasounds or surveillance for your baby’s well-being.

If you're waiting for labour to come on its own, your care provider may arrange extra nonstress tests (listening to baby's heartbeat) or ultrasounds. An induction (starting labour that hasn't yet begun) may be recommended if there are any concerns about baby or your health.
