Signs and symptoms of postpartum depression may include:

Depressive symptoms past two weeks postpartum

Loss of interest in activities or people that used to bring joy, this could include the baby

Trouble falling and staying asleep (even when the baby is asleep)

Sudden weight loss or weight gain

Excessive feelings of guilt, sadness, anxiety, worthlessness, restlessness or agitation

Being unable to concentrate or remember things, which is worsened by sleep deprivation
When to get help:
Speak to your doctor if you or a loved one is concerned you may be experiencing postpartum depression. You are not alone. If there is any possibility of self-harm or harm to baby, seek emergency medical help immediately.
